Splashiee Mermaids

F.A.Q

Children aged 7 months to 3 years can participate in an aquatic activity program. Once the child turns 4, they can then join our a proper swimming program. We recommend that children between 7 months and 3 years old to receive private lessons.

During their initial lesson, the coach will focus on water/pool orientation, acquainting them with the pool environment, and helping them adjust to being in the water. Concurrently, he/she will assess their skills and abilities while educating them on water safety before gradually introduce water confidence by familiarizing them with tasks such as wetting their face, blowing bubbles, holding their breath, submerging their head underwater, floating, and practicing push and glide techniques, among others.

Our swimming instructors hold full qualifications and are certified by the Singapore Sport Council (SSC). They possess various coach qualifications, including the National Registry of Coaches (NROC), AUSTSWIM, Singapore Swimming Teachers' Association (SSTA), Australian Swimming Coaches & Teachers Association (ASCTA), American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA), Swim School International (SSI) Swim Teacher certification and have completed Standard First Aid & CPR License courses.

Lessons are conducted at most private swimming pools.

If a lesson is missed due to any of these reasons, the lesson is considered as attended and the subsequent lessons will have an additional 15 minutes added to the standard 45-minute duration for a total of 3 lessons. This extra time will continue until the missed lesson's 45 minutes are covered, after which the subsequent lessons will return to the regular 45-minute duration. However, if a class falls on a public holiday, the first day of the PH will be considered off, and no replacement class will be scheduled.

The number children in a class is depend on the type of class you chose in our programs. We have class size 1 student (individual lesson ) up to 5 students (group lesson).

Every individual experiences a unique learning curve. The pace of learning belongs to the child, not dictated by the swim coach or desired by the parent, but determined by the child's readiness. Learning to swim for children requires ample practice, patience, and understanding from both parents and swim coaches. It's advisable to introduce new skills only when they can be comfortably and confidently acquired.

Students will be taught simple procedures through experiential learning procedures that would give them control of themselves in water.

When there is thunderstorms & lightning during the swim lesson, all lesson will be temporary be stopped for safety reasons until safe weather conditions prevail

Students must acquire their own swimming equipment for personal hygiene reasons.

Essential items to purchase for the lessons include:

Goggles
Swimming attire
Swim kickboard
Pool noodle
Back float (exception for adults)
